![]() ![]() I mentioned it because in theory it happens side by side with 3D Blast. Both sega of Japan and sega of America were in conflict on what sonic should be from the very start and that made any notion of continuity impossible from the beginning. It's obvious that sonic cd was only made in response to Yuji Naka taking the development of the series to sega of America and sega of Japan thought at the time they could do better. Likewise it's hard to tell which series it belongs to, Is it a spin-off of the genesis games since knuckles is in it? Or is it part of the sonic CD series since metal sonic is in it? I don't consider sonic CD to be in the same series as the genesis games. So even if it's canon it has no real bearing on the main series since it's a spinoff. I never brought up chaotix, If anything it's obviously a spinoff, not part of the main series. It is non-existent, but I like thinking that the Classic universe (Call me crazy but the other day I was debating with friends a theory that splits Classic/Mania Sonic from Modern and considers Generations completely noncanon fanservice) has that and Chaotix happening at the same time before Mania. Sally Acorn (voiced by Kath Soucie) is a red-haired brown chipmunk who appears as a major character in the 1993 Sonic the Hedgehog animated series and later in the Archie Comics series. ![]() True, but I don't really consider S4 canon. Continuity was never a priority for sega. In short, continuity in this series is practically non-existant.Ĭonsider this, there are like 6-7 different versions of eggman / robotnik and like 3 different versions of sonic. If 3D blast is in the same continuity then by the same logic Sonic 4 is also in the same continuity as mania since that one has an actual numerical value after it even if it's made by Dimps dispite sega pretending that game doesn't exist. ![]()
